DPAF Silent Auction Winner Paul Derkos Reviews his Stay at Snowbird

In November of 2016, the DPAF held it inaugural Silent Auction. Paul Derkos was the lucky winner of our two-night stay at Snowbird Resort in Salt Lake City, Utah. The proceeds of the auction were contributed to Camp Wonder in California allowing eight children and two volunteer PAs to attend. The auction featured multiple getaway packages as well as art, jewelry, dermatology learning tools and more.

Paul recently redeemed his trip to Snowbird and had this to say about the opportunity:

“We had a superb time. I brought two longtime friends, who happen to be brothers, from California. We utilized the shuttle service from the Salt Lake City Airport to the Snowbird resort. The Cliff Lodge at Snowbird, their amenities, and their employees are first class. It is no wonder why Snowbird is consistently rated as one of the best resorts in North America.

Some of my specific notable items include: The breakfast buffet at the top of the Cliff Lodge; the rental shop at Snowbird was well staffed with friendly knowledgeable people; the Mountain staff, including lefties, were very friendly and helpful; there was plenty of food and beverage options throughout the resort lodges.”

The DPAF will be hosting its 2nd Annual Silent Auction in conjunction with the SDPA’s 15th Annual Fall Dermatology Conference, both online and person during San Juan, Puerto Rico this coming November. Stay tuned for more information so you can be one of the first to win one of our fantastic prizes!

A huge thank you to Paul and all of our other auction bidders who made it possible for us to reach our $20,000 silent auction fundraising goal for Camp Wonder last year.
